Ranbyte Apps makes small, practical apps for photo, file, media, and proof-report tasks. This policy explains how Ranbyte Apps handles privacy across its apps and website.
Each app may have different features, platform support, pricing, and privacy details. App-specific notes are listed below.

Ranbyte Apps is designed around practical software, not advertising or data harvesting. Ranbyte Apps does not sell user data, does not use third-party advertising in its apps, and avoids unnecessary accounts or cloud services where possible.
When an app can process files locally on your device, that is the preferred design.
App-Specific Privacy Notes
Grafiq
Available nowGrafiq is a local-first photo, video, and file utility for Mac and Windows. Grafiq is designed to work locally on your computer by default.
Grafiq does not require an account, does not show ads, does not add watermarks, and does not sell user data.
Grafiq processes files that you choose, such as images, videos, PDFs, documents, and other supported media files. These files are processed locally on your Mac or Windows PC unless you explicitly use an optional feature that sends content to a third-party service.
Grafiq may create edited files, exported files, backups, logs, thumbnails, settings, or temporary files on your computer as part of normal app functionality. These files remain on your device or in locations you choose.
Photo Condition Reports
In developmentRanbyte Apps is developing an iPhone-first app for creating local photo condition reports for loaned items, rentals, repairs, deposits, equipment, before-and-after proof, and damage documentation.
The app is planned to be local-first, with no account, no ads, no subscription, and no cloud storage requirement.
This app is not available yet. Final name, features, pricing, App Store availability, and privacy details may change before release. This privacy policy will be updated before or when the app becomes available.
Data Collection
Ranbyte Apps does not collect personal information through its own servers during normal use of Grafiq.
Ranbyte Apps apps do not include third-party advertising services.
If a future Ranbyte Apps app includes a feature that collects or stores information, that app’s privacy details will be explained in this policy or on that app’s product page.
Local File Processing
Ranbyte Apps prefers local processing when possible. For Grafiq, files are processed locally on your computer by default.
Local processing means Ranbyte Apps does not receive your files through normal app use. The only exception is if you choose to email files, screenshots, logs, or other information to Ranbyte Apps for support.
Optional AI and Internet Features
Some Grafiq features may allow you to use third-party AI or internet services. These features are optional and user-initiated.
If you choose to use an optional third-party AI feature, you may be asked to provide your own API key or select content to send. In that case, the selected text, metadata, image information, or other content you choose may be sent to the third-party provider you selected, such as OpenAI or another supported provider. That provider’s privacy policy and terms apply to the data sent to that provider.
Grafiq does not automatically send your files to Ranbyte Apps.
AI-Generated Output Reports
Grafiq may include optional AI-generated captions or descriptions when you choose to use AI features. If an AI-generated result is inappropriate, harmful, offensive, inaccurate, or otherwise problematic, you can report it to Ranbyte Apps.
In the Windows version of Grafiq, you can report AI output issues from inside the app by choosing:

Reports are used by Ranbyte Apps to review the issue, respond when appropriate, improve app wording or prompts, and guide future safety improvements. Please do not include private images, passwords, API keys, or sensitive personal information unless needed for the report.
API Keys and Settings
If you enter API keys or preferences in Grafiq, they are stored locally on your computer for app functionality. You can remove or change those settings in the app.
Network Access
Grafiq may use network access only for user-initiated features, such as opening help links, checking user-requested internet information, or using optional third-party AI/API features configured by the user.
Ranbyte Apps does not use Grafiq network access for advertising or data harvesting.
Payments and Store Purchases
Ranbyte Apps apps may be distributed through app stores such as the Microsoft Store or Apple App Store. Purchases, refunds, payment processing, taxes, receipts, account records, and store availability are handled by the applicable app store.
Ranbyte Apps does not receive your full payment card information from those app stores.
Support Emails and Feedback
If you contact Ranbyte Apps by email, Ranbyte Apps will receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, screenshots, logs, attachments, or support details.
Please do not send private files, sensitive images, passwords, API keys, or personal information unless you are comfortable sharing them and they are needed for the support request.
Children’s Privacy
Ranbyte Apps apps are not directed to children and do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data Sharing
Ranbyte Apps does not sell, rent, or trade user data.
Because Grafiq is local-first and does not use Ranbyte Apps servers for file processing, Ranbyte Apps does not receive your files through normal Grafiq use.
If you choose to use optional third-party AI or internet services, selected content may be sent to the third-party provider you configured. If you email Ranbyte Apps for support or to report an AI output issue, Ranbyte Apps will receive the information you choose to include in that email.
Security
Ranbyte Apps designs its apps to keep processing local when possible. However, no software, device, service, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for deciding which files to open, edit, export, back up, delete, or send to optional third-party services.
Changes to This Policy
Ranbyte Apps may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
